Things to Do on the OBX for September 21th 2024

Good morning, Outer Banks adventurers! 🌞

The weather today in Manteo promises plenty of sunshine, with a high around 75°F and a light north wind providing a refreshing breeze. This pleasant weather makes it an ideal day to explore the outdoors, whether you're hitting the beach or strolling through town.

However, keep an eye on the water, as a Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect through September 23, due to elevated tides along the coast. If you're planning any beach activities, be mindful of potential flooding in low-lying areas.

Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with temperatures dipping to a comfortable 68°F, making it perfect for an evening walk or outdoor dining. If you're up early tomorrow, you might notice a slight chance of showers, but for the most part, we’re in for another beautiful day! 🌤

For those who love the water, today's sea surface temperature is holding steady at a warm 76°F, inviting you to enjoy a dip or maybe even a paddleboarding session.

And don't forget, today is National Cleanup Day! It's a great opportunity to give back to our beautiful community. Whether you're on the beach or exploring a trail, consider picking up any litter you see and helping keep the Outer Banks pristine.

For more fun, if the weather changes or you’re just looking for a break from the sun, check out some awesome indoor activities for kids here. Or, if you're curious about how the OBX stacks up against nearby vacation spots, take a peek at Outer Banks vs. Virginia Beach. Looking to unwind at the end of the day? Enjoy your day and make the most of this perfect OBX weather!
