Good morning! It’s September 19, 2024, and there’s a lot happening in the Outer Banks today, so let’s dive right in! Today’s weather forecast includes mostly cloudy skies with a high near 78°F. There’s a 30% chance of thunderstorms developing by late morning, so be prepared if you're venturing outside. Winds will be coming from the north at about 10 mph, with gusts up to 15 mph. Later tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies with a low of 68°F, perfect for a cozy night in. Be mindful of the Coastal Flood Advisory in effect until September 21 due to higher water levels and possible minor flooding
For beachgoers, the water temperature is a pleasant 74°F, great for a quick dip if the weather clears up. Keep an eye out for potential thunderstorms before heading out.
