Things to Do on the OBX for September 12th 2024
🌞 Good morning, OBX adventurers! It’s September 12, 2024, and we’re just 10 days away from the official start of fall! But with today's mostly sunny skies and a high near 82°F, you can still enjoy the tail end of summer vibes in the Outer Banks.
Expect northeast winds at 10-15 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph, so it’s a great day to hit the beach or take a scenic drive. This evening will cool down with temperatures around 67°F, making it perfect for an evening walk by the shore.
For those heading to the beach, high tide will occur at 12:35 PM, with low tide at 6:02 AM and 7:04 PM. The water temperature remains a comfortable 81°F, so whether you're swimming or kayaking, it’s a perfect day for some water fun!
Planning your day? You might want to start by grabbing a delicious treat from a local bakery, or stop by a cozy spot for a breakfast sandwich to fuel your adventures. If you’re thinking about extending your stay, check out some great hotels, and don’t forget to grab a slice at one of the top pizza places for lunch or dinner.
Enjoy the day and soak up the sun as summer draws to a close!
